What is strength?

We define strength as an athlete’s ability to apply force. Every individual has a different base level of strength that can be dramatically improved. Here at Pursue Athletics we value strength as a necessary foundation for all aspects of sport and high performance. Having higher levels of strength will prepare any athlete to sprint faster, jump higher and improve all aspects of their game.

What is Power?

We define power as an athlete’s ability to apply high levels of force in a short period of time. Developing your power is an essential aspect to every athlete’s repertoire and will allow your skill and speed to flourish. When watching athletes perform, it is evident which players are powerful and which are not. At Pursue Athletics we strive to advance your power and set you apart from the crowd.

What is Speed?

We define speed as an athlete’s ability to move quickly and effectively. Difference in speed is the most evident aspect of sport and can be a career-altering characteristic, if harnessed properly. To us, speed is not only a physical trait but also a mental attribute. Pursue Athletics strives to develop each athlete’s speed, on both the physical and mental fronts.

What is Sport Specific Training?

At the end of the day athletic foundations must be applied to one’s sport, whether it be on an outdoor field or an indoor floor. In each sport an athlete has a particular role to fulfill – sport specific training looks at that individual and integrates their particular movements into their training. At Pursue Athletics we strive to develop a deep connection between athletic training and sport practice, so that our athletes’ hard work and dedication will show its colours when it comes time for them to compete.
